On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Project Manager with an Installateur und Heizungbauer Meister qualification to lead a large-scale mechanical and plumbing project in Frankfurt.

The role combines hands-on technical expertise with project management, leadership, and commercial responsibility. You will independently plan, coordinate, and supervise installations and commissioning, ensuring compliance with German legislation, safety standards, and technical regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess customer requirements, provide technical advice, and agree project objectives.
• Lead planning, execution, and delivery in line with contractual requirements; manage programmes, milestones, and site activities across direct labour and subcontractors.
• Manage budgets, cash flow, cost control, variations, and subcontractor accounts.
• Coordinate procurement and long-lead items; ensure timely material delivery and subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and design teams; maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project records.
• Lead and motivate site teams; oversee installation, quality inspections, and programme performance.
• Ensure full HSE compliance, implement QA/QC procedures, and conduct risk assessments.
• Act as primary client contact; chair progress meetings and provide regular reports.
• Plan and manage testing, commissioning, snagging, and handover, including O&M manuals and as-built documentation.

Skills and Qualifications

• Recognised Meister qualification as Installateur und Heizungbauer.
• Proven experience managing large-scale mechanical and plumbing projects; data centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or large commercial experience an advantage.
• Strong understanding of relevant technical standards, legislation, and HSE requirements.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, procurement, and commercial management.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary site teams and subcontractors.
• Ability to read and produce technical drawings; strong fault-finding skills.
• Good commercial and customer-facing skills; ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficiency with MS Project and Microsoft Office (Primavera desirable).
