We're currently working with one of Ireland's leading main contractors to find an experienced Contracts Manager for their team. This full-time role is based on a Dublin site and reports straight to the Contract Director.

As the person in this role you'll take charge of projects from the very beginning right through to handover, keeping everything on track, on budget and to the top standards of quality and safety. You'll manage all the contractual and commercial elements, working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to make sure each project lands successfully.

Key Duties

• Run one of the major Dublin sites day to day and report straight to the Contract Director.
• Drive the full project from start to finish, hitting the schedule and budget while meeting the client's needs and the highest safety, quality and environmental standards, with sustainability built in from the first design stage.
• Serve as the client's main contact on site, especially on commercial calls alongside the commercial manager.
• Lead the construction team to deliver work that fully complies with planning permission and all required standards.
• Prepare the Project Execution Plan covering contracting strategy, programme, budget and risk mitigation.
• Manage day-to-day site operations, the project budget and contract administration alongside the Project Quantity Surveyor.
• Oversee and adjust the programme as needed with the project planner.
• Coordinate with the Planning and Design teams during pre-construction and construction to keep information flowing smoothly to site teams.
• Liaise with key stakeholders including statutory authorities and partners where required, and apply best practice in project controls, performance management and reporting.

Skills and Experience

• A degree or higher diploma in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or equivalent.
• At least ten years' experience on large-scale complex projects with multiple phased handovers.
• Experience of precast frame installation.
• Working knowledge of the latest building regulations and certification standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Irish construction law, contract law and building regulations.
• Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and develop staff.
